About St Lucia
An
emerald island in the Caribbean where you will find a unique
mixture of history, culture and quiet charm. It is rich in
natural beauty, from inland tropical forests to dramatic waterfalls
and lovely sandy beaches.
St
Lucia is famous for the twin peaks of the magnificent Pitons,
rainforest walks, waterfalls, golden beaches and bubbling
volcanic springs. It even boasts a drive-in volcano.
Most
cruising visitors will first enter the magnificent Rodney
Bay. It was Admiral Nelson’s first choice anchorage
and was in fact named after Admiral Rodney.
Today there is access to two inner lagoons, one of which includes
the Rodney
Bay Marina that plays host each year to the ARC
transatlantic yachts which arrive in December after crossing
from the Canary Islands.
